Gm and welcome to the Crypto, Culture, & Society newsletter! If you’re new here, get started by learning about our history and mission and exploring how you can contribute to CCS.
Announcements
We held two more incredible Semester II workshops.
Shreyas Hariharan taught us about the evolution of community-owned resources in the context of DAOs and David Ehrlichman explored how to design communities around the concept of catalysts as change agents. Stay tuned for our key takeaways from both workshops on our Mirror publication, The Society Journal. You should also follow us on twitter to stay up to date on our publication and upcoming events.
Learners and contributors got together IRL in New York City.
We hosted a small Crypto, Culture, and Cocktails gathering in Brooklyn for our NYC-based members of the CCS community. Many Learners, contributors, and friends met for the first time — it was a wonderful evening of dumplings, drinks, and dancing for all. Don’t worry if you missed it (or aren’t based in NYC)! There will be more CCS IRL events in the future, in more locations.
Also, some of our CCS Team Leads got quality time IRL this past weekend to connect in person and think through their vision for the DAO together.
Community
One of the best parts about CCS culture is the endless love and support members show for the DAO and each other in discord, on twitter, and beyond. Here are a couple of moments we loved recently:
The Semester II Learners Section
This section is built for members enrolled in Semester II and includes private links only accessible for those with the Learner NFT.
Upcoming Events
We can’t wait for our next couple of workshops:
Tuesday 3/29: The Ballad of a Music NFT Queen with Latasha and Sirsu
Tuesday 4/5: Humane DAOs, Humane Products with Antoine Sakhos
Make sure to tune into our workshop after parties for rich, extended discussion with fellow Learners. Remember, if you can’t make it to a workshop, you can access the recording and still take part in discussion through the #workshop-discussion discord channel. If you’re looking for a calendar of all our upcoming workshops, you can find one here.

If you know someone who’s new to crypto or you just want to brush up on the basics yourself, we recommend diving back into our Web 3 Starter Pack. People are still sharing this resource on twitter and using it to being more friends into the world of crypto — this is just a reminder that it’s an evergreen resource for our Learners too.
Our FAQ section of the Member Handbook is a perfect place to find answers on how to create your own initiative, IRL event, or discord hangout at CCS.
